What is Coaching?

TCN’s Directional Coaching process helps pastors leverage their strengths to better reach the community with the Gospel. Our pastors receive customized, personal support from a trained TCN coach, who helps them brainstorm, problem solve and work on the church’s “hinge factors.” In addition, training is available for pastors who want to help their own church leaders to become change agents and effectively reach their communities with the Gospel.
A crucial part of your churches transformation will be having a guide that can customize the TCN process for your church. This is the job of a trained TCN coach who will be assigned to you.
How it works: Through monthly phone or Skype coversations, a coach will walk with you to customize and apply the 8 Hinge Factors to your church. The coaching involves reporting, problem solving, brainstorming and action planning as needed.
Coaching may begin at any time during the revitalization process. Many Pastors like to engage a TCN Coach when they join a Learning Community. Others may begin after their congregation has experienced a Hinge Training Event or after a Consultation. In any event, monthly contact with the TCN coach will help the pastor and leaders of the congre
